Our school library building is situated near the covered play area. The library has much to offer in the way of Junior Fiction, Fiction and Non Fiction books that the students are allowed to borrow. Our loan period is for a week and students can borrow 2 books out at a time and is done during library lessons. We encourage the use of library bags to protect the books. We currently subscribe to the Australian Standing orders who supply six new titles 6 to 8 times a year for all age groups.

We hold 2 Scholastic Bookfairs per year in the library, the first in May (family reading month) and the second in August (for the Children's Bookweek Awards). Parents and students are encouraged to peruse the selection on display for 1/2 hour each day before and after school. Parents let the aide on duty know which books they would like to purchase, send in the amount owing, and books are given to the students to take home towards the end of the bookfair. Re-ordering of sold out titles is available and delivered within 2 weeks. The school also benefits from the sales by selecting books to the value of approximately 20 to 30% of gross sales.

There is colourful seating and tables and students are encouraged to use the library during lunch breaks for reading quietly and playing board games if they choose not to play outdoor games. As of 2017 we also have a bank of computers set up and students are encouraged to make use of them for their leisure time during lunch breaks.

The library is also utilised for P&C meetings every month; weekly staff meetings and professional development worshops.

In November 2015 the school started a "Transition Action Group" for the 3 to 5 year olds in our community, to allow them access to school routines. The group is run under guidance from the principal, for a period of 2 hours from 9 to 11 am on Tuesdays.

Parents are expected to stay with the children and help run / supervise activities. They bring along a healthy plate of food to share at 10am. Please contact the school if you wish to participate in these mornings, 47707313.
